Animal Rights Advocate, Vegan Activist, and Executive Director of the Jane Goodall Institute Nepal
Shristi Singh Shrestha is one of Nepal’s leading voices for animal welfare and ethical treatment of all sentient beings. Her activism took root in a deeply personal moment — when an abandoned calf died in her arms. That heartbreaking experience led her to embrace veganism and commit her life to animal rights.
A passionate advocate at both grassroots and policy levels, Shristi has worked with prominent organizations to influence national discourse around animal welfare. She is currently spearheading a campaign to permanently end elephant riding and other forms of animal exploitation in Nepal’s tourism industry.
Previously the Vice-President of Animal Nepal, Shristi has contributed to systemic change through rescue missions, policy advocacy, education, and awareness campaigns. Her ultimate goal is simple yet powerful: to help build a Nepal where every living being is treated with compassion, dignity, and the right to live free.
