Nile Dhakal

Nile Dhakal is the compassionate leader of Magic Marble Foundation Nepal. She oversees shelter operations, daily vegan meals for dogs, rescue and medical care, sterilization and rabies prevention campaigns, and community outreach to foster the rights of human and non-human communities.

Her journey began with a street kitten named later named June. Nursing June back to health revealed the harsh realities many animals face and inspired Nile’s deep commitment to this work.

A lifelong animal lover and committed vegan, Nile has a special place in her heart for cats. She’s fostered dozens of vulnerable kittens and is known for her calm, skilled care. As she says, “Cats have taught me patience, presence, and the quiet power of trust—lessons that go far beyond animal rescue.”

In 2022, Nile organized Nepal’s first adoption festival and leads campaigns promoting responsible adoption, plant-based nutrition, and ethical animal care. She also mentors many young people, believing that lasting change comes when compassion becomes a shared value.
